Shake Social welcomes Ilaria Anibaldi, who joined our team today as an intern.

Hello, my name is Ilaria and I’m very excited to join the Shake Social team on an internship.

For the last two years, I have been working on an MA in Creative Writing at the University of Nottingham, after completing a BA in Economics with Chinese studies. During this period, I co-founded Noumena Press, a publishing house for English and Creative Writing students based in Nottingham. Among other projects, this resulted in the printing of the anthology Noumena, which includes some of my own work.

I recently started a ghost writing business and I am in the early stages of building my online presence. This will involve setting up a website and interacting with current and potential customers using social media platforms.

I believe social media has become a valuable and indispensable tool in the running of a business. In a way, it completely revolutionised the whole approach to marketing by making it more effective, interactive and more accessible. For instance, customers now have the ability to influence sales outcomes by providing reviews of a certain company’s products or services. In some cases, they may even be able to partake in decisions about the products themselves, making suggestions and offering direct feedback.

My experience at Shake Social will help me understand the inner workings of social media marketing, particularly with regards to targeting my market, reaching a wide international audience, increasing my website’s visibility and recognition and, most of all, keeping my advertisement and marketing costs lower.

My main passion is writing. I have been writing both fiction and poetry since a very young age, and recently started writing non-fiction and creative non-fiction for some of my clients. I am also a pianist and composer of both classical and contemporary music, and am now studying to complete Piano Grade 8th in the Italian Conservatory.

Among my other interests are literature and the visual arts, natural health and wellbeing, yoga, sport and fitness, outdoor activities, permaculture and botany, and travelling.
